The City Impact Counselling team offers one to one counselling sessions, creating a safe space for you to explore how you are feeling and discuss your experiences in a safe non-judgmental environment. You will only pay what you can afford for this counselling service, according to what you earn.
Our low cost counselling service is available to anyone over 18 in various locations in Canterbury and the surrounding area.
Why are we doing it?
There is a mental health crisis in our society today that has been further fuelled by the Covid pandemic. Waiting lists for adult counselling are increasing.
This has fast tracked our desire to set up an affordable counselling service for the residents of Canterbury district.

Will I need to pay?
How much is it?
City Impact offers up to 12 counselling sessions, charged at rate according to your income. We want to ensure that accessing counselling is affordable and sustainable for all our clients. We believe that cost should not be a barrier to accessing counselling, so if cost is a concern we will discuss this with you.

What's the plan?
How will it work?
City Impact’s counselling initiative will be a low-cost counselling service for adults who are in need of support for difficulties they are facing.
Qualified counsellors will deliver sessions under clinical supervision in various locations in the Canterbury area.
The service will be delivered by counsellors who are Christian, but will be it will be open to people of all faiths and none and counsellors will not press their faith on to clients.
